Who we are#

Polyxd is run by Neelank Sachan, an individual developer based in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@polyxd.com.

These terms cover the services we run:

• polyxd.com, including the docs, the gallery and the demos;
• Polyxd Studio at studio.polyxd.com;
• the hosted MCP server at mcp.polyxd.com.

By using a service, you agree to these terms. If you use a service for an organisation, you agree for that organisation too, and confirm you are allowed to.

Our privacy policy explains what we do with personal data.

Open-source software#

Polyxd's code is open source under the Apache License 2.0. The specification and the documentation are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Those licences, not these terms, govern your use of the code, the specification and the docs, wherever you get them. You can run all of it yourself.

These terms apply to the services we host for you.

Other companies' names#

The design-system packs are named after design systems made by others, such as Material 3, IBM Carbon and GOV.UK. Those names and marks belong to their owners. Polyxd is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The packs are independent work made to look at home in those systems.

The services#

• The services are free and in early preview. They may change, and features may come and go.
• We may limit how much you use a service, for example with rate limits, to keep it working for everyone.
• We may stop a service. If we plan to close Studio, we will give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email where we reasonably can, so you can export your work.
• Live generation in the demos is sometimes off. When it is off, the demos answer from their built-in library only.

Studio accounts#

• You must be 18 or over to create an account.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password and API keys safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account and with your keys. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used them.
• One account is for one person. Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and what each member can do.

Your content#

"Your content" is what you put into Studio or send to a service: token files, design systems, screens, Directions, sample data, rules and anything else.

• You own your content. We claim no rights in it.
• You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the services for you and your workspace. This ends when your content is deleted, apart from copies in backups that expire on their own.
• You confirm you have the rights to your content, and that using it with our services breaks no law or anyone's rights.
• Keep personal data out of sample data where you can. If your content contains other people's personal data, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to use it.

Acceptable use#

When you use our services, don't:

• break the law, or help anyone else to;
• upload or send content that infringes anyone's rights, or that is harmful, abusive or deceptive;
• use the services to design interfaces meant to trick people, for example into paying, subscribing or giving away personal data;
• send malware, or try to break, overload or get around the security, rate limits or other limits of a service;
• probe or scan our systems for weaknesses, except under responsible disclosure: tell us first and give us time to fix it;
• access a service by automated means in ways that put an unreasonable load on it, or use the demos' live generation as a free route to an AI model;
• type personal or sensitive information into the demos, or send it to the hosted MCP server, beyond what a screen genuinely needs;
• pretend to be someone else, or suggest we endorse you when we don't.

If you use the hosted MCP server through an AI assistant, the assistant's own terms and usage policies apply too, and so do the usage policies of the AI provider behind the demos.

Generated screens#

Polyxd checks screens against its specification and your rules, but checks can't catch everything. Screens written by an AI model can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Before you use a screen in a product, you are responsible for reviewing it, including for accuracy, accessibility and legal requirements. A passing check is not a guarantee.

Suspension and ending#

• You can stop using the services at any time. To delete your Studio account, email us.
• We may suspend or end your access to a service if you break these terms, if we must by law, or to protect the service or other people. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right.

No warranty#

We provide the services free and "as is". We don't promise they will always be available, free of errors, or right for your purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any similar law where you live, that can't lawfully be excluded.

Our liability#

• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
• Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for everything connected with the services is limited to AUD 100.

Changes to these terms#

We may change these terms. We will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change significantly affects Studio accounts, we will email account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using a service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

General#

• If a court finds part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the hosted services.

Law and courts#

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes go to the courts of New South Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any right the law where you live gives you to bring a claim in your local courts.
